Google is gearing up for one of its most anticipated launches of the year, with the Pixel 10 series set to debut at the Made by Google event on August 20, 2025 in New York. The lineup will include the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Retail availability is expected from August 28, while the foldable may arrive later in October.
Refined Design & New Colors
The Pixel 10 maintains the familiar rounded edges and camera bar aesthetic of the Pixel 9, refreshed with new color options such as Indigo, Limoncello, Moonstone, and Jade. The Pro Fold will feature a book-style design with finishes rumored in gray, green, and gold.
Hardware & Performance
Powering the series is Google’s first fully custom Tensor G5 chip, built on TSMC’s 3 nm process, promising improved efficiency and performance. Display sizes range from 6.3 inches on the standard Pixel 10 to 6.8 inches on the Pro XL, all with OLED panels and up to 120 Hz refresh rates. The Fold will feature an 8-inch internal and 6.4-inch external OLED display.
Camera Upgrades
For the first time, the base Pixel 10 will feature a triple-lens rear camera (wide, ultrawide, telephoto). Pro models are set to add advanced zoom capabilities, with the Pro XL rumored to support 100× digital zoom. The Fold is expected to carry a 48 MP main sensor, plus ultrawide and telephoto lenses with 5× optical zoom.
Battery & Charging
Battery sizes have been boosted, with the Pro XL likely packing 5,200 mAh. A standout addition is Qi2 magnetic wireless charging—marketed as “Pixelsnap”—making Pixel 10 one of the first Android devices with integrated magnets for wireless charging alignment.
Software & Connectivity
Launching with Android 16, the Pixel 10 series will debut features like Speak-to-Tweak, Camera Coach, and Pixel Sense assistant, leveraging Google’s AI expertise. U.S. models may move to eSIM-only configurations, except for the foldable.
The Pixel 10 lineup will probably represent a polished evolution, pairing improved performance and AI-driven features with thoughtful design updates and camera upgrades.
