Honor has officially announced the launch dates for its highly anticipated Magic 7 series smartphones and the upcoming MagicOS 9.0. The new operating system will be unveiled on October 23, followed by the debut of the Magic 7 series on October 30 in China. This marks a significant upgrade as the Magic 7 will be the first device to feature MagicOS 9.0, which is built on Android 15.

MagicOS 9.0 is set to introduce a range of advanced AI features, including a new AI Agent designed to compete with Apple’s and Google’s personal assistant technologies. In addition to the AI-driven enhancements, the update will also bring significant improvements to the camera system and user interface, reflecting Honor’s ongoing commitment to innovation in artificial intelligence.

The Magic 7 series is expected to include both a standard and Pro variant. According to leaked specifications, the Pro model will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, a 6.82-inch 2K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a triple rear camera system with a 50MP primary sensor. The Pro variant is also rumored to include a 5,800mAh battery, supporting 100W wired and 66W wireless fast charging, positioning it as a powerful contender in the flagship smartphone market.

While details on the standard Magic 7 model remain limited, rumors suggest it could be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 chipset. Furthermore, Honor is expected to release an Ultimate Edition of the Magic 7 in 2025, featuring advanced camera technology. As anticipation builds for the upcoming launches, more information on the Magic 7 series and MagicOS 9.0 is expected to surface in the days leading up to the events.
