MedLife, Romania’s largest private medical services network, joins forces with the Australian company Skyy Network to pioneer a drone transport system for laboratory biological samples.
The groundbreaking project, set to kick off in Bihor County, will cover a distance of 120 km, making it the longest drone flight route in Europe.
With approvals from the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority, Public Health Departments in Bihor and Arad counties, and the Ministry of National Defense, this initiative marks a significant leap in healthcare logistics.
The initial drone flights with patient samples have already taken place, resulting in substantial time savings compared to traditional road transport.
