Banca Transilvania Integrates Microsoft Azure OpenAI into Customer Communication

  • The online platform “Întreb BT” introduces a new feature, AI Search, simplifying interactions and improving accessibility to the platform’s content with the help of AI technology.
  • Over 4.5 million visits were made to the Întreb BT website from January to September of this year.

Banca Transilvania, in collaboration with Microsoft, is bringing artificial intelligence into online communication by launching the AI Search feature on the Întreb BT platform. This feature is based on Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service.

Întreb BT serves as an informative, educational, and guidance platform online, designed as a search engine with over 2,000 questions and answers about banking. From now on, Întreb BT visitors seeking information about products, services, and self-banking solutions will receive more comprehensive answers to their online queries due to AI integration. These answers encompass all the information available on the Întreb BT platform related to the respective topic.

Today’s launch intersects with subjects of utmost importance in banking – financial education and technology. We are investing significantly in both directions because they are related to customer experience, financial inclusion, as well as access to information and products. This is a first project that we implemented rapidly, and it marks the beginning of our learning curve. There will be more projects and sustained investments in this area,” states Ӧmer Tetik, CEO of Banca Transilvania.

Banca Transilvania has shown admirable dedication to responsible growth and supporting entrepreneurs. As the largest bank in Romania, BT understands the vital role it plays in the development of the financial system and the Romanian economy. Banca Transilvania’s use of artificial intelligence for online communication demonstrates BT’s commitment to providing customers with the best possible services. The combination of financial education and technology is a promising field, and we are pleased to see the bank allocating significant resources to both,” says Bogdan Putinică, Country Manager of Microsoft Romania & Moldova, Microsoft.
