Lolita Cercel x BTW 2026 and How About Tech

For ten years, Bucharest Tech Week has evolved alongside the technologies shaping the future of business. What started as a local technology event has grown into one of the region’s most important platforms for conversations around innovation, digital transformation, software engineering, artificial intelligence, and leadership.

On June 11, the anniversary edition officially kicks off, bringing together 9 days of technology experiences, industry insights, and networking opportunities through two complementary formats: Tech Expo, dedicated to technology enthusiasts and consumers, and the Business Summits, designed for professionals, executives, architects, developers, and business leaders.

For us, the 10th edition is more than an anniversary milestone. It is proof that a business and technology platform remains relevant when it evolves alongside the industry it serves. Bucharest Tech Week 2026 brings to the stage experts who don’t speak about the future in theoretical terms, but practitioners with proven results in real organizations. This year’s agenda is built around the real challenges that business teams face every day, from strategy and leadership to software architecture and HR. This is the kind of know-how we seek and deliver to the community, year after year.” said Alexandru Măxineanu, Managing Partner, UNIVERSUM EXPO.

Five Summits, Five Perspectives on the Future

Between June 15 and June 19, Bucharest Tech Week’s Business Summits will bring together experts from global organizations including Microsoft, LEGO, Goldman Sachs, Netflix, Nike, Orange Business, and the wider European innovation ecosystem.

The week opens with the Innovation Summit, where attendees will hear from Lars Silberbauer, former Senior Global Director of Digital at LEGO and current advisor at Goldman Sachs. His session, Do What Feels Right. Not What Feels Safe., will explore how brands can remain culturally relevant in a world shaped by rapid technological and societal change.

Joining him on stage will be Dani Rayner, former Director of Marketing Planning and Operations at Netflix, BBC, and BAFTA, who will examine how organizations can continue building meaningful brands in an era increasingly influenced by algorithms and AI-generated content.

On June 16, the spotlight shifts to the Future Summit: AI, where Elaine Barsoom, founder of Waveco.ai and former Global Head of AI and Technology Innovation Partnerships at Nike, will discuss how organizations can move from AI experimentation to purposeful implementation. Her keynote, The GenAI Innovation Wave: Designing the Age of Co-Intelligence, focuses on creating meaningful collaboration between humans and artificial intelligence.

The following days will explore topics ranging from AI-powered workforce transformation and HR innovation at the HR Masters Summit, to production-ready AI systems, agentic AI, and modern software development at the AI Coding Summit. The week concludes with the Software Architecture Summit, where architects and engineering leaders will discuss cloud-native systems, platform engineering, microservices, and AI-enabled architectures.

When AI Meets Culture

Among the most anticipated moments of the week is one that sits at the intersection of technology, creativity, and culture.

For the first time, Lolita Cercel, Romania’s first fully AI-generated music artist, will perform live on stage during the Innovation Summit. Since her debut earlier this year, Lolita has generated millions of views across TikTok and streaming platforms, quickly becoming one of the country’s most talked-about digital phenomena and sparking conversations about the future of music in the age of artificial intelligence.

Until now, audiences have only experienced her through screens and headphones.

At Bucharest Tech Week, she will appear in a specially designed live format, performing on a high-resolution digital stage accompanied by The Humans Band, blending AI-generated artistry with live musicianship in a jazz-inspired performance.

The Future Summit: AI will also include a lighter moment with Romanian comedian Consultantu Cristi, whose stand-up session, How to Lose Your Job Before AI Steals It, promises a humorous take on some of the serious discussions surrounding automation and the future of work.

Tech Expo Joins Forces with nZEB Expo

Beyond the conference stages, technology enthusiasts will have plenty to explore at Tech Expo, which this year joins forces with nZEB Expo, Romania’s largest event dedicated to energy-efficient construction.

Hosted between June 11–14 at Romexpo Pavilion B2, the exhibition will showcase the latest consumer technologies, smart home products, mobility solutions, and connected devices.

Visitors will have the opportunity to test robotic vacuum cleaners, robotic lawn mowers, and next-generation personal care devices from brands such as DREAME and Tineco.

Automotive technology will also take center stage. Among the highlights is the public debut of the LEPAS L8, a premium hybrid SUV from the Chery Group, presented ahead of its official Romanian market launch. Visitors will also be able to explore and test-drive some of Ford’s newest models, including the Puma, Kuga, Capri, Explorer, and Mustang Mach-E.

Electric mobility enthusiasts can discover the award-winning Zeekr 7X, winner of the Best Electric Tech Car Romania 2026 competition, alongside Tesla’s globally popular Model Y and Model 3.

More Than a Technology Event

What has always differentiated Bucharest Tech Week from traditional conferences is its ability to bring together technology, business, and culture in a way that feels relevant to both professionals and enthusiasts.

Whether discussing AI governance, software architecture, leadership, digital transformation, or the future of creative industries, the event continues to provide a space where ideas move beyond theory and into practical application.

Ten years after its launch, Bucharest Tech Week remains a place where the conversations shaping tomorrow’s technology begin today.

Business Summit tickets (June 15 – 19) are available through the official event website https://www.techweek.ro/business-summits, while access to Tech Expo is free through registration via nZEB Expo.
