ContiTech has announced the appointment of Vasile Roșca as director of its Timișoara manufacturing facility. Roșca takes over from Ernesto Flores, who held the position for three years and is transitioning to a new role as Head of Operations Cluster EMEA East BA OESL at the company’s newly established Technology Excellence Center Eastern Europe, also located in Timișoara.

A Long-Standing Member of the ContiTech Team

Roșca has been part of the ContiTech team since 2003, the year the company began operations in Timișoara. Over the past two decades, he has built extensive experience in manufacturing, progressing through several key positions including Production Line Leader, Production, IE and Maintenance Manager, and Head of Operations OESL Timișoara.

Throughout his career in production, Roșca has demonstrated strong leadership capabilities while coordinating large teams and leading projects designed to optimize factory processes and performance.

“I am honored to take on this role and continue the success story of the ContiTech team in Timișoara,” said Roșca. “Together with my colleagues, we will continue to develop the plant, optimize processes, and strengthen a culture based on respect, trust, and performance. I firmly believe that people are the essence of any success. Through involvement, collaboration, and a desire to learn, we can transform challenges into sustainable and innovative results.”

ContiTech Romania’s Growing Role in Innovation

ContiTech Romania produces approximately 6 million aluminum air conditioning hoses for passenger vehicles annually. The company’s commitment to Romania as a strategic location has grown significantly in recent years. In 2021, ContiTech inaugurated its first research and development center in Timișoara. Last year, the company further strengthened its presence by opening the Technology Excellence Center Eastern Europe, reinforcing Romania’s role as a regional hub for innovation and technological excellence.

The leadership transition reflects ContiTech’s strategy of promoting internal talent while simultaneously expanding its operational capabilities in Eastern Europe. With both Roșca and Flores continuing to serve the Timișoara operation in their respective capacities, the company maintains continuity while positioning itself for future growth in the region.
