Iași’s tech community is gearing up for the first local edition of one of the most appreciated informal events dedicated to technology professionals: IT BBQ Fest. The event will take place on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, starting at 5:00 PM, on the green lawn of Palas Garden.
Organized by howabout.tech/, in partnership with Tremend – Publicis Sapient and Ness Digital Engineering, and in collaboration with Palas, the event aims to become a local tradition that blends innovation, networking, and the laid-back vibe of a festival.
About IT BBQ Fest
After three successful editions in Brașov, which brought together over 1,000 participants, IT BBQ Fest Iași promises to take the experience to the next level.
Under the “Bits and Bites Iași” slogan, the event brings together developers, entrepreneurs, designers, software architects, and leaders from local and international companies, in an outdoor setting where big ideas and conversations happen between two bites of Chef Munti’s signature burgers and Gourmand Brothers creations, a cold drink offered by Ursus, and community activities.
What’s new in 2025
At the event, participants will be able to watch demonstrations of emerging tech solutions, interact with industry leaders in an informal, festival-style atmosphere, and, not least, savor culinary delights and cold drinks that complete the experience.
Got kids? Bring them along! We’ve got a full-on LEGO Robo Party waiting just for them, where they’ll build and program their own LEGO robot, test it in action, and dive into hands-on, fun activities alongside new friends. It’s about learning, laughter, and a little bit of sci-fi magic, all rolled into one, powered by VV Universe.

This year, the event comes with a special context, as Tremend celebrates 20 years of activity. To show its appreciation for the community that has grown alongside the company, Tremend is giving away 300 free tokens and the chance to win an Insta360 X5 Sport Camera, 8K, 360°.
