Samsung has announced that its Galaxy AI features will be available on more eligible Galaxy devices through the upcoming One UI 6.1 update. This move aims to “democratize access to mobile artificial intelligence” according to the company.

The One UI 6.1 update with Galaxy AI will roll out to the Galaxy S23, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5 smartphone series as well as the Galaxy Tab S9 tablet lineup starting from late March.

Samsung says the new firmware harmonizes the One UI experience with the functionality offered on the recently launched Galaxy S24 devices, bringing mobile AI capabilities to an even higher standard. It takes a hybrid approach combining on-device AI with cloud-based solutions.

With One UI 6.1, more Galaxy users will be able to take advantage of the advanced AI features like intelligent camera capabilities, on-device language processing, and optimized performance previously limited to Samsung’s latest flagships. This democratization of AI aims to provide a smarter and more intuitive mobile experience across Samsung’s Galaxy ecosystem.
