Tremend Software Consulting will Drive Europe’s Largest Digital Education Transformation Project

Tremend Software Consulting, a company of Publicis Sapient was selected by the European Commission, through the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), as the trusted partner to transform the digital education landscape across Europe.

In this endeavor, Tremend will lead the maintenance, development and implementation of numerous transformative initiatives and education platforms, in collaboration with their consortium partner, IBM.

It is truly an honor to be invested with the trust to digitalize the way education is being done at the European level. Tremend in particular, and Publicis Sapient at a higher level, has grown to become the go-to contractor for a variety of education platforms. With the establishment of this new Framework contract, the Commission aims to develop cutting-edge IT capabilities that will drive the realization of the European Education Area, fostering seamless integration and innovation in education systems across the EU’s member states.

The Framework Contract is a cornerstone of EACEA’s strategic vision, emphasizing four key objectives:

  1. Strengthening IT Capacity: Acquiring and deploying the necessary IT resources to support the Agency’s work plan. This includes the digitalization of flagship programs such as Erasmus+, as well as initiatives in community management and stakeholder engagement.
  2. Integrated IT Governance: Establishing an IT governance framework that aligns seamlessly with the Agency’s corporate governance model, ensuring efficient, aligned, and compliant execution of IT projects.
  3. System Integration: Ensuring that all new IT initiatives integrate smoothly with existing internal and external systems to enhance usability and accessibility for stakeholders.
  4. Compliance and Standards: Adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements to maintain trust and reliability across all platforms and services.

Comprehensive IT Services for Education Platforms

The Framework contract encompasses a wide array of corporate IT services to support the technological backbone of EACEA’s educational initiatives. These services include specification, development, maintenance, and support for critical systems such as:

  • Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe (EPALE)
  • European School Education Platform (ESEP, eTwinning)
  • European Digital Education Hub (EDEH)
  • Digital Education Hackathon
  • European Student Card Initiative (ESCI)
  • National Policies Platform (NPP)
  • Erasmus Networks Platform (ENP)
  • European Higher Education Sector Observatory

The contract will also support data management services and accommodate emerging initiatives, in order to ensure a forward-looking approach to digital transformation.

To deliver on these objectives, Tremend will lead the creation of dedicated teams to provide tailored service packages for each platform, initiative, or service.

Additionally, multiple Business Analysts, Data Analysts, and Project Managers, along with other experts, may be allocated to support EACEA with strategy development for educational platforms and to address requirements from various stakeholders.
