Codecamp is making its debut in Brașov on October 3, 2024, at Kronwell Hotel.
Since 2008, Codecamp has been a pivotal event in Romania’s IT community, bringing together industry leaders, top speakers, and tech enthusiasts to foster innovation and collaboration.
This year, attendees can expect insightful talks, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities with professionals across the software development spectrum. The event is free to attend, offering a unique chance to learn from and connect with key players in the IT industry.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from professionals with extensive experience in software engineering, AI, cybersecurity, and more. Here are some of the speakers that will take the stage:
- James Coplien is a renowned software architect and Lean/Agile consultant with over 45 years of experience in programming, research, and consulting. He is widely recognized for his contributions to object-oriented design, organizational design, and Agile methodologies, including the creation of Organizational Patterns and his work on the foundational book “A Scrum Book: The Spirit of the Game”.
- Michael Bolton is a seasoned software tester and consultant with over 25 years of experience in the field. As co-author of Rapid Software Testing, he has taught the methodology worldwide, drawing on his extensive background in testing, development, and project management, including his leadership at DevelopSense and Quarterdeck Corporation.
- Mihaela Ghidersa is a Technical Lead and Microsoft MVP with a deep passion for technology, which has driven her transition from hands-on coding to leadership and architecture roles. With experience in diverse industries like healthcare, media, and e-commerce, she combines technical expertise with a love for sharing knowledge through speaking and writing.

Before the day of the event, Codecamp will hold a series of masterclasses, hands-on workshops led by some of the speakers:
- Data, Context and Interaction (DCI), with James Coplien, on October 1-2: The Data, Context and Interaction (DCI) restores object-oriented thinking to the design and programming world. This masterclass will help atendees deeply understand object-oriented thinking and learn what it takes to implement it in a modern architecture.
- Rapid Software Testing Focused: Automation, with Michael Bolton, on October 2: this masterclass is about the essence of automation strategy: vision and setting goals that make sense for the atendees and their organization.
